Chocolatebox for Christmas

Good morning fellow crafters on this beautiful (yet windy) Tuesday morning :)

I´ve kind of missed my Magnolias a little lately, so I found I had to colour one of the little cuties, and make something nice of it. I love christmas and I love chocolate, a perfect combination for me (lol), so I made a little chocolate box.
This box will hold Freia Melkehjerter.
I may have gone a little wild in glitter, but I think it´s so nice when it´s sparkling. All trees, snowflakes, the fence and the poinsettia are well glittered :) In the middle of the snowflakes I put a little rhinestone too, for even more sparkle…
It does´t show well here, but around the image I used the chunky white embossing enamel (from Stampendous). I think I´ve said it before; I love the effect of this embossing stuff!
The image is attached with 3D-foamtape, to give a little space behind, where I put a "tag" with a christmas sentiment on. The "Tag" is actually a doily made with a Magnolia die. On the back it has a stamped snowflake (picture further down).

Here´s more pictures of the box, mainly showing the "tag" in different positions...

…and last a picture showing the box tom the side:

I´ll join the following challenges with the chocolate box:
Totally Tilda #77 - Christmas Bingo (I have it ALL!)
MDUC #207 - Your Favourite Things

Totally Gorjuss #194 - Christmas in July

A Little Giftset

I have got a new scraproom, quite a bit bigger than my old one. I haven´t got everything in place and the way I want it to be, but already I like it A LOT!
And I´ve got a Mac. I do NOT like this machine at all!!! I liked my old PC, with programmes that I knew how to use, and where to find… Sometimes this thing makes me so angry I just have to leave the room. Just finding the pictures for this post took me ages!  But I will learn how to use it - eventually…

Well, over to something a little bit nicer:
I have made a little giftset with a chocolatecard, a teabox, a matchbox and two decorated tealigts. Oh, and a little shakerboxtag to put on the gift after it´s wrapped in cellophane.
What inspired me to make this giftset was Sketchy Colors summerchallenge. They want us to use the colours Brown, Green, Lilac and White and have a wonderful sketch to follow too. I used the sketch for the chocolatecard, and used the 4 colours for all pieces of the set.
Inside the shakerbox I used one of the lovely My Besties images. It´s coloured with ProMarkers - yes, a little fiddly as it´s printed quite small, but I made it :)

Here´s the pieces of the set from an above angle:

A close-up of the chocolatecard, which I used the sketch to make:

I´ll enter these challenges with the giftset:
Sketchy Colors #171 - Colour + Sketch
Scrappin´ All Over #14 - Mer enn 2 bretter
Divas By Design - Anything Goes

****

Now I´ll continue fiddling around on th Mac. I really can NOT understand why we need this thing!

For The One You Love at Ooh La La Creations Challenge

Today we have a new challenge at
This time our theme is
I chose to make a weddingcard to inspire you to join us
Again I've used papers and image from the Yesterdays Memories CD.
The image is built up in 7 layers - I like this effect...
Together with the papers I've used a grey, a white and a white bling cardstock from Bazzill.
I inked the edges with a silvercoloured inkpad. On the back I used silverembossing on the weddingringsimage (Papirdesign)
Inside the card I stamped a romantic little poem:

Here's the back, with the silverembossed image:
The next picture shows the card lying flat, to better show the beautiful ribbon with the text "Bryllup" ("Wedding"). Together with the picture I let the bow be the focalpoint of the card, I felt it didn't need much more embellishments - well, of course I had to put on a few pearls. It is for a wedding, after all!

I made a weddingcard, but it doesn't nean you have to do th same. You can make most anything you like, as long as it is for someone loved or about love, so come join us.
At
Ooh La La Creations
you can find much more lovely inspiration

I'll send my wedding card to the Order of the Opus Gluei, for the ongoing Weddingchallenge

Floral Frenzy at My Besties

Good morning crafters!
We have a brand new challenge for you today at
First of all I have to congratulate the winners of last weeks challenge, and thanks to all who joined us.
I hope many, many of you will join us this week too, for our
challenge
It is so fun to use flowers! And most all kind of flowers go with these lovely images, don't you think?
I had big difficulties deciding what kind of flowers to use on my pocketcard, but as I chose the DP with roses I played safe and went for roses (and a few lilies).
The Dp is one I've had for ages, it wasn't marked in any way, so I really don't know where I've got it.
I feel I stepped a bit out of my comfortzone with these colours, but it was actually quite fun to try something a little different (List of ProMarker-colours further down)
The card is made as a pocketcard, with a (quite big) card inside the pocket, to give plenty of space to write.

To colour the image I used ProMarkers:
Skin: Ivory, Dusky Pink, Sunkissed Pink, Tan
Hair: Tan, Saffron, Buttercup
Clothes: Coral, Oatmeal, Peach, Grey Green, Tea Green
Other details: Pear Green, Warm Grey 1, Blender

Supplies for the card:
Cardstock: Bazzill
DPs:???
Ink: DistressInk WalnutStain
Dies: Spellbinders, Marianne Design, Magnolia
Martha Stewart Leafpunch
Embellishments: Flowers (roses and lilies), Halfpearls, seambindingribbon (coloured with Teagreen ProMarker), halfpearls, heartcharm, glitterstickles (on the flowers), cheesecloth

Weddingcard in White and Gold

 Good morning everyone
Looking throught my blogs postinglist I found this weddingcard I almost forgot to show!
I made it some time ago, after a tutorial in Ett Trykk. I think it's kind of fun, with all the pockets for tags and small cards.
I haven't used any coloured images or photos on this card, only stamped texts.
Some of the greetings/ sentiments are embossed with goldcoloured embossingpowder.
The folding gives you one quite large pocket, with room for a larger tag/ card, on this I have stamped a cute, little poem:
I decorated the front and back of the tag with the same papers and panels:
On the frontside of the card there's two more pockets.
I've put two tags in one of the pockets, and a sentiment mounted on magnetic paper in the other pocket:
Here I've put the magnet on the fridgedoor:
This is how the back of the card looks like ( I love using this stamp on the back of my weddingcards):

Materials used:
Cardstock: Bazzill
DP: Papirdesign
Ink: Colorbox Gold, Versafine Onyx Black, Versamark
Stamps: Papirdesign, Kreativ Hobby, Panduro, Kort & Godt
Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace PATP-set
Embossingpowder Gold

I love the snowmangarland she's holding - that's why I put on the snowmancharm ;)
I also think that thick embossingenamel sort of looks like snow here. I sprinkled in some silverembossingpowder between the chunky white embossing, to make it a little more sparkly.

The card is made as a Center Step Card.
I may have gone a bit wild decorating it.
I put together lots of roses, to make a kind of garland. It was real fun, and I think it looks quite nice.
Of course I had to put glitter on the roses!
Glitter is nice!
The charm attached to the bow has a painted rose on - but of course it turned around as I took the picture!
Below you can find a complete list of materials and colours used on this card, and more pictures, showing more of it.

Around the image I embossed with a chunky embossingenamel.
The paperedges are all inked with DistressInk WalnutStain.

Ebony & Ivory at Ooh La La

Hi again, girls.
I'm back to show you the card I made for our latest challenge at
The next two weeks we have the theme
Ebony and Ivory

I struggled a bit with this one, but all of the time I spent thinking about what to make, the bookcard was in the back of my mind. So finally I decided to go for it.
And here it is:
Image and papers are from OLL, apart from the black paper I used I used as bookcover.
That's a  really O L D paper. I have no idea where I got it from, but I think the embossed roses on it fitted this project perfect.
To decorate the book I used lots of roses (ivorycoloured), leaves, seambindingribbon, halfpearls, a black labelholder, heartcharm, pearlpin (I made it myself :) ), lace (inside), a Spellbinders-diecut corner.
The paperedges are inked with DistressInk BlackSoot.
The little greeting in the labelholder is stamped with a stamp from Kort & Godt.

Inside the "book" I had to use a little colours.
(I tried using black papers, but found it too gloomy. Ivory papers gave it too much of a "weddinglook")

On the card inside the book I used the same image, in a smaller size:

I hope I've given you a little inspiration to join our
Ebony and Ivory Challenge.
you can find lots and lots of inspirations.

I'll enter these challengers with my Book-Card:

Fabulous Flourish at My Besties

Good morning crafting girls and boys!
I've been dieing to show you this card!
This is a card I totally L O V E D making.
I mean; everything just fell in its place. I knew how to colour the image, which papers and which embellishments to use.
I've had the big, yellow flowers for quite some time now, just hanging on the wall in front of my workdesk. Only looking at them, and touching them every now and then. I think they're so pretty!
So now, for the
Fabulous Flourish Challenge
over at
I decided to make use of them.
The image i have used is Img 697 May Blossom
You can find this, and many, many other here.
I coloured the image with ProMarkers - most every yellotoned marker I own, and finally put on a little glitterstickles on the flowers on her clothes.
I used the same glitterstickles on the butterflies.
Around the image I used the chunky, white embossingenamel from Stampendous, and some tiny LiquidPearls from Ranger.
The swirldie underneath the big, yellow flowers is from My favorite Thing, the tagdie is from Magnolia.
On the tags I stamped cute little greetings from Papirdesign.

Here's the inside of the card. I kept the butterflytheme here...

The next picture shows the back of the card too. Here I've used the same papers as on the front, and a couple of butterflies.

I'll enter the card into the following challenges:

Birthdaycard

 Good morning friends
It looks like it can be a good weekend for cardmaking (apart from a few hours at work today and Sunday...), outside it's windy, cloudy and rainy - not much of a summerweather...

I'll show you one of the cards I made the last week.
It's a birthdaycard- in a kind of shabby/ vintage, and almost clean and simple style, with one of Sherri Baldys My Besties-images.
 I think they're sooo cute!
(You can find them here, if you like them too).
The image, Img826, is coloured with Pro- and FlexMarkers. I "dressed" her in colours to match the flowers...
DPs are from Maja Design.
To decorate it I've used:
Lace, Cheesecloth, Flowers, Halfpearls, Glitter, Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly punch (large).
The edge of the cards frontside is punched with Martha Stewarts Floral Wine Deep Edge punch.

The inside. On the left I stamped a birthdaygreeting (North Star Stamps). On the right I left the DP uncovered. I'm sure the handwritten text will show if I use a black pen! (I didn't want to hide more of the DPs...)

The next picture show the fron-and backside of the card:

I'll join these challenges with my card:
Sketchy Colors #170 - Sketch (turned 1/4)
Card and Scrap #58 - Bruk Blonder eller Bånd

Having used other images and colouringmediums for quite a while, I felt I missed the cute Magnolias a little...
Well, here she is; on a birthdaycard, with lots of my favourite embellishments and a couple of newly received dies.
I've also used that chunky embossingenamel around the image again.
DPs, dies and image are all from Magnolia. The textstams are from Kort & Godt (front) and North Star Stamps (on the tag inside the card).
I made the card as an easelcard:
